The Temple of Portunus in Rome; Portunus was the ancient Roman god of keys, doors, livestock, and ports, and was also known as Fortuna Virilis, a deity of male luck; this temple was built in the late Republican era originally built in the 3rd or 4th century BCE and rebuilt between 120–80 BCE

The veneration of ancient Roman deities was once believed to have ended with the coming of Christianity to southern Europe. However, along with Greek gods and Egyptian gods, they have been partially retained and also deliberately revived as a Neo-Pagan tradition.
