As the eleventh of the 12 zodiacal animals, the Dog embodies courage and honesty. Those born in the year of the Dog are considered to be plain-spoken with a strong sense of justice.

Dog people are said to be direct and willing to face challenges head-on.

Their worst flaws may be a tendency to be stubborn in the face of uncertainty.

If You Were Born in the Year of the Dog

If you were born in the year of the Dog, you feel things strongly and act accordingly. You are warm and outgoing, and people genuinely like you for your steadfast nature and compassionate heart. In love, you are slow to trust, but once you do, you are fiercely loyal and protective of those you care about. Your friends and loved ones know they can depend on you to show up and follow through.

You know the value of money, and aren’t afraid of putting in the hard work to meet your financial goals. Be careful that you don’t take on more financial risk than you are truly comfortable with, because financial stress can negatively impact your emotional well-being.

The Dog People in Your Life

These people, like the Dog, are team players. They know that by working together, greater things can be accomplished than by anyone working alone. They value stability and emotional clarity, which makes them reassuring to those around them. Their words match their actions, and their integrity and sense of right and wrong are unwavering and solid.

On the downside, they may sometimes be overly critical and blunt in their expression of their opinions.

They often are attracted to those born in the years of the The Horse, The Rabbit, or The Tiger.
