Psalms 1

Hoodoo psychic readers, spirit workers and root doctors who recite Psalms on behalf of clients may work with Psalm 1 during altar work and prayers when there are people in the neighborhood, the family home, the work-place, or in the church congregation who do not belong among the company of law-abiding allies, due to their negative ways, bad habits, or contempt. It can be recited to protect people from religious abuse. This Psalm is a plea for stability and for the Lord's assistance in removing ungodly and lawless people from the client's environment. It is common for a hoodoo doctor to add Psalm 37 to the recitation of Psalm 1 during spell-casting if the evil-minded person is also working against the interests of the client by spreading gossip, lies, and false testimony. The first three verses of Psalm 1 are also utilized in preventing premature childbirth.

Psalms 1

[1] Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
[2] But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
[3] And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
[4] The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
[5] Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
[6] The LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
