Booking and Scheduling

I am a root doctor and teacher of hoodoo, conjure, and magic. I am available by appointment bookings from Wednesday through Saturday.

All of my readings and spiritual counselling sessions are conducted within the premises of Missionary Independent Spiritual Church, to which i donate a percentage of my income from readings, as a way of supporting the church's outreach work, which includes the organization of the Association of Independent Readers and Rootworkers.

Book the proper type of appointment and then i'll know what we'll be doing at the time:

• Book a Reading. We can complete a reading using one or more methods and determine its interpretation during the time allotted. Employing the skillful arts of Tarot, Pendulum, Psychometry, Palmistry, and Tea Leaf Readings, Miss cat will foretell the future, provide helpful sounding on matters of import to your life, and divine the Spirit. Readings with cards and divining with pendulae may be arranged to be conducted as appointments by telephone Psychic readings of photographs require a photograph or a print from a graphic file be sent to the medium, whereas Palmistry and Tea Leaf readings are restricted to in-person appointments at the church in Forestville, California.
• Book a Consultation for Rootwork and Spellcasting. I can prescribe supplies, teach you folk magick, give you magical coaching or spells, or provide spiritual advice. Consultations may proceed by arranging appointments by telephone or you may book a consultation appointment in person at the church in Forestville, California.
• Book a Lesson if your interests range farther afield, including subjects of world-wide magic, music, business, internet success, and medical current events. Conversations with Miss cat may proceed by arranging appointments by telephone or you may book a consultation appointment in person at the church in Forestville, California.
• There are many other ways to arrange to schedule me for time and if those above do not suffice, please read more about appointments below.

Through this church, i offer candle services with petitions and prayers on behalf of clients and a hand-written candle report is sent to you by email after the candle has finished burning, in which you will receive a brief candle glass divination, describing the signs and significations we found while tending to your prayer light.

I live in the unincorporated area of Sonoma County called Forestville in Northern California. I am always open to seeing those who travel to visit me, but please be sure to book in-person readings in advance, to ensure that i will be available when you arrive.

Cancellation and Rescheduling

If you wish to cancel or reschedule a reading, you must do so via this booking service at least 24 hours in advance.

Cancellations with 24 hours or less notice, as well as no-shows, will not be refunded.

Rescheduling must be done at least 24 hours prior to your appointment, to allow us time to fill the vacancy you have made in our schedules. Attempts to reschedule with less than 24 hours notice are not valid and will be treated as cancellations or no-shows.

Readings, Consultations, and Lessons

I offer a variety of services including readings, consultations or lessons, both in-person or over the phone. If you purchase a Reading, tarot and pendulum readings may be conducted on the phone or in person. Palmistry and tea leaf readings must take place in person. Psychometry necessitates the receipt of a photograph or a print from a graphic file before the reading begins. If you're interested in a Consultation, we can talk about anything that interests you and i can combine a divination with personal instructions for spellcasting. For instance, i can prescribe conjure supplies for your condition or situation, teach you the use of appropriate Psalms, give you magical spells by direct verbal instruction, or advise you about your spiritual path. If you'd like a Lesson, i can describe for you various aspects of world-wide folk magic, discuss old-time rural acoustic blues and country music, recommend ways to improve your website business presence through search engine optimization, and bring you up to date on recent medical studies on the relationships between ethnicity, genealogy, and genetics. Finally, I also offer Business Coaching, where we can spend one hour analyzing what will lead you to success in the world of business.

Candle Services Ministry

If you cannot burn vigil or novena candles in your home for any reason (for instance, because of safety concerns or because you do not want anyone in the home to see them burning — we will prepare, pray over, and set lights for you here on the consecrated altars of Missionary Independent Spiritual Church. Candle Reports are provided for glass-encased vigil candles more extensive burns of glass-encased candles burned on the MISC altars. The work (dressing the candles, affixing Petitions, praying on your behalf, and mailing you a Candle Report) is done at no charge (donations gladly accepted), giving you an interpretation of the outcome based on the ancient art of ceromancy, or divination by wax.

Hoodoo Rootwork Correspondence Course

I teach a 1-year correspondence course presenting African American magical techniques. Hoodoo is primarily the folk magic of Southern Black Christian culture. In teaching the practical aspects of folk culture and spellcraft to students, i employ a method called "cultural immersion" as a form of outreach to my non-Black students.

Hoodoo Rootwork Course Apprenticeship

The Hoodoo Rootwork Course Apprenticeship is a three-week series of lectures, personal training, and hands-on guidance in the history and use of conjure supplies. These lectures are taught by Miss cat, supervised by the Lucky Mojo Shop Manager, Sister Robin Petersen, and given in three one-week intervals around the calendar of the year. They require two work-days in trade during each week, and the qualified candidate must be a Graduate in good standing of Miss cat's Hoodoo Rootwork Correspondence Course (see above). All Apprentices are required to sign a non-disclosure agreement with the teacher.

Annual Hoodoo Training Workshops
